Platform Capabilities

A product that fits
all your needs

One integrated RPM platform serving every stakeholder — patients monitoring from home, clinicians acting on live data, and administrators overseeing entire hospital networks.

01
Vital Monitoring

Continuous vital signs,
from home to clinic

Patients record vitals via the mobile app — manually or automatically through Bluetooth-connected medical devices. Every reading is timestamped and stored as a structured openEHR composition in the patient's EHR record.

  • Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Heart Rate, SpO₂, and Body Weight
  • Bluetooth GATT-standard pairing — any certified medical device works automatically
  • Four-tier per-patient thresholds trigger email and SMS alerts instantly

02
AI-Powered Intake

Zero-touch referral
processing with AI triage

Referrals arrive from email, fax, patient portals, and external APIs. The AI engine reads each referral, extracts structured clinical data, and automatically creates a patient record — eliminating manual intake entirely.

  • Accepts any channel: email attachments, fax-to-digital, web form, REST API
  • AI extracts patient demographics, diagnosis, medications, and imaging references
  • Triage queue for clinical review before activation — with full AI confidence scoring

Patient Details

Everything about a patient,
in one screen

The Patient Details page consolidates the full clinical picture — medications, appointments, imaging, procedures, initial diagnosis, and all uploaded documents — into two tabs. No switching systems, no hunting for records.

  • Diagnosis tab: medications, appointments, imaging, procedures, initial diagnosis
  • Records tab: lab reports, referral letters, consent forms, imaging files — fully searchable
  • Every entry is versioned, timestamped, and attributed — complete audit trail

EHR & Interoperability

Clinical data in the
international standard

All vital readings are stored as structured openEHR Compositions — the international clinical data standard adopted by leading healthcare systems worldwide. Your data is always portable, queryable, and ready for integration.

  • Native EHRbase repository with full AQL (Archetype Query Language) support
  • ThinkEHR adapter and FHIR mapping layer included out of the box
  • Unique ehrId per patient — maps cleanly to any existing patient master index

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the CxHealth Remote Patient Monitoring platform.

CxHealth is an enterprise-grade Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) platform built for hospitals, hospital groups, and healthcare networks. It enables clinicians to monitor patient vital signs in real time, manage structured care plans, receive automated clinical alerts, and store all data in internationally standardized EHR formats — from a single unified platform.
  • Patient-facing mobile app (iOS & Android)
  • Clinical web portal for care providers
  • 20+ microservices backend on AWS
CxHealth monitors 5 clinical vital types, all stored using the openEHR international standard:
  • Blood Pressure — systolic/diastolic (mmHg)
  • Heart Rate — beats per minute (BPM)
  • Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂) — percentage (%)
  • Blood Glucose — before/after meal (mg/dL)
  • Body Weight — kilograms (kg)
Clinicians build structured digital care plans specifying which vitals to monitor, measurement frequency, schedule times, and clinical remarks. Plans can be created at hospital or group level, assigned to multiple patients, and patients receive scheduled reminders on the mobile app automatically.
CxHealth uses the openEHR standard via EHRbase as its clinical data repository. Integration options include:
  • Native openEHR-compliant EHRs via REST API
  • ThinkEHR via dedicated Feign client adapter
  • Epic, Cerner, Meditech via extensible EhrAdapter interface
  • FHIR R4 via AQL-to-FHIR mapping layer
CxHealth uses OAuth2 token-based authentication with layered security:
  • Role-based access control (RBAC) with fine-grained permissions
  • OTP (One-Time Password) as a second authentication factor
  • Biometric login — fingerprint / Face ID on mobile
  • Time-limited secure tokens for password reset
  • Full user activation / deactivation lifecycle management
Yes. The patient-facing app runs on both iOS and Android from a single .NET MAUI codebase. Key features include vital recording (manual or Bluetooth), biometric login, push notifications, offline data storage, measurement history, device pairing, and full Arabic/English language support.
CxHealth runs on a Spring Cloud microservices architecture (20+ services) deployed on AWS via Docker:
  • Spring Cloud Gateway — API routing & rate limiting
  • Netflix Eureka — service discovery & load balancing
  • RabbitMQ — async event bus for alerts & notifications
  • EHRbase — openEHR clinical data repository
  • AWS RDS PostgreSQL — managed database
Yes. The mobile app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to automatically connect to any GATT-compliant medical device — no custom integration needed. Supported profiles include blood pressure monitors (0x1810), glucose meters (0x1808), heart rate monitors (0x180D), and thermometers (0x1809). Readings are submitted automatically, eliminating manual transcription errors.
Yes. CxHealth has a built-in multi-hospital hierarchy: Healthcare Group → Hospital → Patients & Clinicians. Group Administrators oversee all hospitals in their network, while Hospital Administrators manage individual facilities. Patient data is siloed per hospital for privacy, and care plans can be created at the group level and applied across all hospitals.
All clinical data is stored using the openEHR international standard — the same standard used by national health systems in Norway, Brazil, Slovenia, and the NHS. Every vital reading is stored as a structured openEHR Composition, queryable via AQL (Archetype Query Language), and portable to any openEHR-compatible system, ensuring zero vendor lock-in on patient data.
CxHealth supports 5 user roles with fine-grained permissions:
  • Group Administrator — manages all hospitals in the network
  • Hospital Administrator — manages a single facility
  • Doctor — assigns care plans, monitors patients
  • Nurse — records vitals, monitors patients
  • Patient — uses mobile app to record readings
The AI Triage system automates referral intake from Email, Fax, Patient Portal, and API integrations. The pipeline: Document Ingestion & OCR → AI Clinical Extraction → Structured Referral Record → Intelligent Routing → Human Review → Patient Record Creation. AI extracts patient demographics, urgency (Routine / Urgent / Emergency), medications, history, and pre-populates the Initial Diagnosis when the referral converts to a patient record.
